Kramer Design Associates Creates Fun,
Dynamic Branding & Thematic Graphics
for Niagara Falls' newest attraction

Toronto, Ontario - June, 2002 - Kramer Design Associates (KDA) created the overall brand image and distinct attraction logos, thematic graphics, signage and wayfinding elements for the innovative Great Canadian Midway, the latest entertainment facility developed by H.O.C.O. Ltd. to open on famed Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Experts at creatively merchandising the interior and exterior of entertainment venues, KDA's wide range of core brands and graphic elements for all of the Midway's attractions, games, concessions, retail venues, and restaurants clearly reflect the fun and exciting nature inherent to the facility.

"Our strategy was to powerfully communicate, through branding, themed signage and graphics, that this facility features an amazing range of attractions and amenities for all age groups, while being able to competitively compete with the other major attractions in Niagara Falls" states Jeremy Kramer, Principal and Creative Director of KDA.

KDA also developed the unique identity for the Great Canadian Midway. To create a sense of anticipation and whimsy, each letter in the Midway logo graphically represents each of the main attractions within the facility. To landmark the facility, KDA designed the large, 30' by 53' techni-colored entrance canopy that prominently displays the internally-lit letters that form the fun-filled logo of the Great Canadian Midway, and feature an array of bright, eye-popping neon and perforated metal vertical 'sails'.

KDA's branding strategy for the Great Canadian Midway is an integral part of the entertainment experience. Combining the colorful, cartoon-like realism of the midway attraction with the excitement of a large theme park, the customized theming and rich detail of the graphic and signage elements deliver a high-impact destination experience.

H.O.C.O.'s Great Canadian Midway, is the first of its kind in the area. The interactive, family-oriented destination features the ultimate in out-of-home entertainment, attractions and restaurants, such as Ghost Blasters Dark Ride, Game Factory, Fun Express, Sports Zone Bar and Games, Bowlingo, and the thrilling Falls Tower Ride.
