Toronto, Ontario - July, 2001 - Kramer Design Associates, Ltd. (KDA) has won an international competition for the assignment to develop a sophisticated signage, branding and graphics program for the $800 million, much anticipated, permanent Niagara Falls Casino / Gateway Project in Niagara Falls, Canada. Experts in creating award-winning design strategies for gaming and entertainment facilities, KDA will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing a comprehensively themed exterior-interior signage and wayfinding program, venue branding and graphics; and name assignment and logo development for all casino, resort and grounds destinations. "KDA's strategy is to reinforce the themed environment of Casino Niagara through an integrated and finely articulated branding, signage, and graphics program. Capturing the ornate beauty of the facility's architecture and the breathtaking vista of the falls is essential to its overall success," states Jeremy Kramer, Principal and Creative Director, Kramer Design Associates. Scheduled to open in 2003, the permanent Casino Niagara facility will be host to a world-class casino; a 5-star, 350 room hotel; an indoor/outdoor, year round amphitheatre; an exhibition place; retail space; all connected by monorail to a new entertainment feature River Country' at Marineland. The extraordinary new development will provide people worldwide with another compelling reason to visit Niagara Falls and to extend the length of stay. The project is being managed by Falls Management Company (FMC) led by Hyatt International and Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLGC). KDA has developed innovative design solutions for more than 15 gaming and racetrack locations, including OLGC's Casino Windsor Resort, Casino Rama, Flamboro Downs Racetrack Slots, Kawartha Downs Racetrack Slots and Woodbine Racetrack.
